Albums

The discography of the American rock band Toto includes 13 studio albums, four live albums, and numerous compilations. In addition to releasing original music, Toto has also done work with other artists and on soundtracks for films. The group has won multiple Grammy Awards.

Before Toto was formed, members of the band played sessions for other musicians. David Paich, the son of session drummer Marty Paich, and Jeff Porcaro (the brother of guitarist Joe Porcaro and drummer Jeff Porcaro) all performed on Boz Scaggsalbum from 1975 Silk Degrees. The group's collaboration led to the formation of Toto in 1976.

Turn Back, Toto's third studio album, was criticized by critics due to not having hit singles. In 1985 the lead singer Fergie Frederiksen quit the group The group held auditions for the new frontman. Guitarist Steve Lukather was chosen, and the group recorded their 1986 album Fahrenheit.

Shem Von Schröck replaced Leland Sklar as drummer during the tour in support of the 40 Trips Around the Sun album. In 2017, Toto released a double-CD live set titled Falling in Between, which included recordings from the tour as well as an interview with the group.
